TSN really needs to get a grip.

    1. They are sick fucks and won't because they live to slag the Habs. Not a single true integrity-based professional within that company. They reek of desperation and I love it!

  2. You almost start to feel sorry for them. It's like a has been who had one starring role who constantly brings it up and relives it. It's kind of sad. And pathetic.

  3. Even dumber, especially since it follows the above quote directly,
"Montreal has earned points in 10 of its last 11 games and sits atop the Northeast Division."

While this statement is technically true, they just stated the fact that the Habs have one regulation loss in the last 19. Way to minimize their achievements!

  4. No mention of PFK leading all defencemen with 9 goals...

  5. Wow. Caller on post-game show claims no one celebrated PFK's goals and that he's a problem in the room.

He's young, learning and high risk/reward but to go so far as saying that the team hates him? Ugh.

    1. Uh...guess we weren't watching the same game. There's even a photo of celebration. Also the 2nd goal was confusing so no one really knew who actually scored at the time.

  7. The team does not hate him. This is a rumour started by the CoTU mediots (I can't believe how much moeman has influenced my vocabulary) and continued on by people who want to say bad things about the guy who is 'different' without actually saying what they really mean. It's just that the 'different' guy should 'know his place' and not be so 'uppity'. Just like how birthers weren't racists, they simply believed Obama was a foreign born muslim socialist bent on destroying traditional America. The fact that he's black had nothing to do with it. Of course.

  8. PK Subban is doing great in this team. He scoring goals, creating them, doing fine work on defence and fitting in perfectly on the team for a reasonable price. Whats not to like?

Who cares what these Toronto centric boneheads think. All is great in Habland. enjoy it.

  10. What an outstanding way to end the work week! I was out last night but came home hoping to catch the end of the game - but it was over already! That win sure makes up for the last time they played the Isles. Nice win boys!!

Excellent SF Moeman! Foghorn Leghorn put a smile on my face yesterday, and SF has done that again for me this morning. BTW - who is the bodacious one in the pic after PFK? And never has the expression "only the shadow knows" been more appropriate than in today's SF!

Yes another bell weather test, another wait to see what they will do back to back. At what point do we admit that this team has arrived. You know, if we drop both game against the birds and beaners I would still think we have an awesome contending team and everybody else can go fuck themselves.

It's not just TSN. Early this morning on CBC radio the guy doing the sports desk mentioned how the Habs have only lost once in regulation since, you guessed it, a 6-0 loss to Toronto in February. It's starting to be funny now. Keep bringing it up you jealous fuckers. Looks good on you.

  14. Moeman will love this...I logged onto tronnasportsnetwork.ca just to see how far down the "Latest News" column the Habs game appears...Funnily enough - ITIS NOWHERE TO BE SEEN!...Then I clicked on the one reference to the game they had and here is the very first line of the article...

The Montreal Canadiens have found every conceivable way to win or get a point since a trouncing by Toronto on Feb. 9. They avenged their only defeat in that stretch on Thursday night, scoring three third-period goals to beat the New York Islanders 5-2.

  20. Just wanted to add to 29's point on having to face the Pens and broons back to back again. I mentioned this before but I love repeating myself.

3/4 games Habs play against the broons this year is part of a back to back. The other one is the third in a 3/4 nights. On the flip side, the broons have days off before and after every game with the Habs, except due to the rescheduling of their Tampa game they did play the day before our last meeting. In the afternoon. And both games were at home.

Mediots are making a big deal about broons catching up in games with everyone else, how their sched is so busy now, so many back to backs! Reality: they have two back to backs till the end of the season (one with an afternoon game the first game) while the Habs have THREE. How can a team have such a lax sched the entire season?

  21. This team is for real. They got rid of some dead weight, brought in some role players, cleared the air in the dressing room and sorted their shit out in the head office. All that adds up to confidence and a new coach that allows them to play the game this team was built to play: A fast, forechecking offensive style. Look, the Habs are top 5 in scoring with basically the same scorers as before, while maintaining a top 7 defence. This is how it should have been for years.

Having said that, there are pieces that can be added by people more knowledgeable than I. Don't sell the farm, though, because the Habs are young and will just keep getting better in the next 5 years.

    GO HABS GO!

  22. By the way, for those who missed it, there was a spirited discussion on the post-game show on the radio about MT2.0 and PFK. I missed the start, which I guess was a caller mentioned earlier here. Anyway, the radio guys were basically saying that PFK is a superstar, people are buying his jersey and tickets to the game to see him play, but the coach also has a role to play in molding him. Then a caller said that the media, including these guys, should just STFU already because it's chatter like this that drives superstars out of Montreal to begin with. It was all very interesting, if only because it's been decades since any Hab has been described as a superstar.

    PFK= Playing For the Knorris.

  23. You know the TSN article actually mentions 'the drubbing' thrice. Later it notes that "Michael Ryder also scored for Montreal, whose lone regulation defeat since Feb. 9 came against the Islanders at Nassau Coliseum on March 5." You know, in case we forget what happened on Feb 9th.
I posted how sad it was that the reporting out of Toronto (I didn't say TSN, as it is an AP article) had to focus on that 3 times in one article that has nothing to do with the leafs. They didn't publish it. /shocked

Fuck them all. If it wasn't for the fucking mediots, I'd almost like to see the lowleafs in the playoffs again. almost. But fuck them.

    1. I also commented, very very rare of me, something like, "I simply can't remember what happened on Feb 9 to start this great run by the Habs. If only a brave media outlet would remind me. I don't remember the date or score of Syd's Golden Goal, but for some reason I have Feb 9 stuck in my head. I guess it's hard to remember trivial details when you're in first."

Wasn't published. Which tells me they actually know what they're doing because it's such a nothing comment that would only be read as sarcastic if you actually knew what I was talking about. Meanwhile comments about Hab fans being pussies and the French being whatever is par for course.

  24. The thing with MT2.0 and evenmoreso Chocula is they expect the players to play every minute like they are pro hockey players. Then you have the Jackal in Tranna, as long as he is scoring the coach just throw up his hands at the plus/minus not being in the plus. I just hope PFK does not get frustrated and recgoncizes that MT2.0 really is trying to make him a better player.

  27. I should have noted that the story I commented on on tsn was an AP article - which starts me thinking about why? Would would the AP be so biased against Montreal? Do we know who writes the AP shit - someone has to - and I'm pretty sure the person covering the hockey beat for AP is going to be based in tornna. Which means that he/she is a leaf fan - which should automatically eliminate that person from covering the hockey beat in the same way as I am not qualified to write the nuclear science columns for AP.

    3. You know, TSN and Sportsnet and the rest is fine, they're private companies that can do what they want. What gets me is the CBC and their complete bias. They're at least publicly funded. They should represent Canada. And I'm not just saying this as a Hab fan, but Sen, Oil, Flame, Canuck and Jet fans have said the same to me. CBC hates the Habs and dismisses the Sens, but they almost completely ignore our Western teams. All of those guys have made the finals in recent years yet get no coverage. It's a disgrace to our national game that the least successful team gets the most attention, and an American club gets the most love. This is our tax dollars at work.

Well, your tax dollars. I haven't filed in years. But keep quiet about that.

Side note: How great is it that we can talk about the Jets again? And they're likely to make the playoffs? Next, Quebec City!

  29. I think steve mentioned it above, but I would like to pay my respects to Kovy (Kovy original, l'Artiste). God speed comrade.

Of all the players in a Habs uni for the last 20 years, really, only one of them made me hold my breath on occasion for something he did, or was doing. sure, he took shifts / periods / games off. but that doesn't change the fact he excited me (NTTAWWT). i just loved watching him play, when he was in the mood. really, no player did what he did.

I'm hoping gCHuk will do that kind of thing soon. I've seen flashes, and I believe.

Agree whole heartedly 29, Kovy was the most exciting player to wear a Habs uni since, dare I say it, Guy. A lot of people crap on Gainey for the Gomer trade but he stole Kovy from Sather for literally a bag of pucks (Josef Balej and a 2nd round pick). Mind you he had a few miles on him at the time but when he was in the mood he could carry the team on his back. Wasn't there a playoff series against Boston when he was the main reason the Habs won? My short term memory ain't what it used to be. Anyway, thanks for the good times Kovy, I don't really remember the bad ones.

So a part of me is in a quandry about the weekend games - specifically the home and home broon/leaf tilts - and isn't it odd how they have let them have a night off in between (I digress) - as much as having the leaf beat the broons would help the Habs in the standing, I cannot in good faith wish for anything other than a broon whitewash - as it would shut those miserable fucking cocks up for at least a week. Two broon wins would drop the leaf out of the playoff picture as well and the talk of "leaf playoff hockey" would dissappear from the papers for at least a week.
